A friend of Connan Mockasin from New Zealand, the incredible Fazerdaze creates equally far out music. The moniker of Amelia Murray, her debut album Morningside lands on 5 May via Flying Nun and lead single 'Lucky Girl' shows what we can expect with its blissed out hooks, fuzzy riffs and kaleidoscopic harmonies. Lending themselves easily to her dream pop sound, this is music is full of euphoria, although Murray notes that this song was written in a blacked out bedroom away from light and other people in a hermit-like state. Luckily, she's heading over to the UK for this year's The Great Escape and a few other dates so you won't have to wait forever to catch her live. - SJ
